First day on the Blog

Well lot's of things happening...for one I have suddenly forayed into the online world...I have checked my accounts whether they be my personal accounts or social networking twice this week which is a big jump from once in a YEAR...I guess the pressure in office finally needs to be released somewhere and what better place than the internet..which just seems to have the largest capacity for all kinds of information...it's like one big gossip churner...keeps nothing to imagination...Recently read an article that Apple prefers using print ads in glossy magazines rather than the internet ...and still manage to create a wow factor...which seems strange ..as in it's been almost a year since I have picked up a glossy magazine...as in who reads India Today or even Femina these days...and I heard that Reader's Digest is going Bankrupt..I guess they need to have an online version soon...But I miss the time, when you just had to go pick up a magazine and start reading it, flip through pages, skip them you if you don't like them ..Now I am dependent on the internet connection, pages, and waiting for items to download.... A colleague of mine was actually thinking of an i-book, where in you could flip through pages, underline, hear the rustle of a page turning ..and the likes...and I was like wow...that would be great...but somehow the fun of curling up in your bed with a hard copy cannot beaten by an intuitive book...For me books have always been good friends..they are there when no one else is there to talk to you or to entertain...they open a world of imagination, fascination and mystery..they teach you things that one cannot experience easily in the real world. Jumping from the internet to books...and now back to the internet...heard it's quite addictive..let's hope the addiction works for me too...right now I am not a convert...
